A student dormitory at the ITU Maçka campus, designed as an act of walking — connecting fragmented sidewalks and inviting passers-through into a programmed sequence of art gallery, co-working, and shared spaces.

The point where the project began to take shape was when I observed how disconnected the sidewalks around the ITU Maçka campus were from one another. From that moment, I realized this — my main goal became facilitating movement between these sidewalks, raising awareness, and encouraging people to walk through the side streets. The following process then continued with designing a student dormitory for the Maçka campus.
The building located at the entrance of the passage houses an art gallery, co-working rooms, meeting rooms, a large café, a workspace, and a bookstore. This structure allows people to pause and spend time there as they pass through the passage — connecting daily campus life with a softer, slower public threshold.
